to here the first podcast like thing on K-ICE. it came all the way from Germany. These two are friends of Abi Basch.
Sander wrote that "it
sounds maybe typical for the german datapop-scene: a mixture between
independent songwriting and programming."

Program devolpement 2
On Sundays. "Shance music" (as in shanty-dance -- although
maybe people wouldn't get that). Make 'em boogie: that's my motto.
I play all sorts of crappy pop music: old soul, crap rap favorites,
deep 80's tracks, new wave, vapid pop. I might even do different
themes each week, or something. It would be totally fun. I'd do it
live from your shanty with my laptop, if that's possible. What do you
think?
Quito is going to DJ.

There is a new link on the page.
It links to Mike Hoyt's Norae Shanty.
The Norae shanty is Karoke in a shanty. And in the near future ina shanty out on Medicine lake.
It was born from his work and from the passion he has for Karoke.
The first norae (song) shanty was is Chicago last spring. It was inside Peter Thompson's Alex DeArmond's and Kari Reardon's Shanty.
It was a smash hit. People came and they drank and sang sna sang and sang. At somepoints the doors had to be locked and meals were eaten, then the doors were opened and more people came and sang and sang.
Personally Peter Thompson stole the show with his dance and song. In and out the door.
Such style.
Mike has been working on building a new shanty. It was installed in the summer show at the Soap Factory and he is now working there to winterize it.
Check out the website for his times of openness.
We will be working to somehow connect his sound and K-ICE. Maybe podcast maybe live......
stay tuned..... apriori
